| CEDAR POINT COUNTY PARK
This 607 acre Cedar Point, with views of
Gardiner's Bay, offers individual and organized group camping areas. Picnic
areas, , nature trails, vehicular access to the outer beach
(with permit only), licensed hunting for waterfowl (in season), surfcasting
for bass and bluefish. The hurricane of 1938 transformed the shoreline,
shifting sands to create a narrow, walkable strip that now connects the
lighthouse with the mainland.

HITHER HILLS STATE PARK offers visitors a 168-site campground on the Atlantic ocean, a 2 mile Sandy Ocean Beach, scenic picnic areas and fireplaces, sport fishing, playing fields, a playground and The unique "walking dunes" of Napeague Harbor are located on the eastern boundary of the park, which also has
Woodlands filled with Russian olive, oak, shad and pine trees. Bridle paths and hiking, nature, biking and cross-country ski trails are available.

HITHER HILLS STATE PARK |

MONTAUK POINT
is a 724-acre park with five miles hiking trails, a
picnic area with tables, a playground, a restaurant, a gift shop, and
restrooms. offers views of the sea, Block Island Sound, and Block
Island, has surfcasting, and is great for bird watching year-round and
seal watching during the winter months. Plenty of parking available. The
Montauk Point Lighthouse, a museum run by the Montauk Historical
Society, is open to the public daily in-season.

CAMP HERO STATE PARK is a former Military base in Montauk, NY. It was given to the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Society in the 1980's. Specific features found in this park are the magnificent pristine maritime forest, natural freshwater wetlands, spectacular ocean vistas and dramatic bluffs rising from the ocean. MONTAUK DOWNS STATE PARK
is best known for its Robert Trent
Jones-designed, championship-length, 18-hole golf course. In addition,
the park offers a driving range, six championship tennis courts, a main
swimming pool and a wading pool for children, as well as a beautiful
catering facility, a clubhouse and a grill room serving breakfast and
lunch.

SHADMOOR STATE PARK Ninety-nine acres located one quarter-mile east of Montauk Village, features ocean beach The park, picnic hiking trails, and saltwater fish. Also has bluffs, freshwater wetlands.
Of historical note, two concrete bunkers, erected during World War II and once equipped with artillery guns to protect the coast from enemy invasion, remain on the property. More info & Photo's!
